In a lop-sided win the Columbus Crowd offense put up 4 runs on the scoreboard
in the 8th inning and ripped the Chainsaw Proctologists by a 9 to 3
count.
Lyle Overbay provided much of the offense. He doubled in the 1st inning,
slapped a base-hit in the 7th inning and doubled plating three runs in the
8th inning. Columbus totaled 9 on the afternoon.
Curt Schilling(4-2) got the win allowing 2 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. B.J.
Ryan recorded his 3rd save. Nate Bump(0-1) was hit with the loss. He gave
up 6 hits and 5 walks in 7 innings.
